This course focuses on clinical decision-making for patient selection, emphasizing factors that influence successful outcomes in pediatric, adolescent, adult, and older adult populations. Participants will review common orofacial myofunctional disorders and evaluate airway status, tongue mobility, oral habits, motivation, medical comorbidities, and readiness for change. Practical considerations -- including timing of therapy, interdisciplinary coordination, patient adherence, and financial feasibility -- are discussed in the context of achieving long-term functional stability.
