Great gardens but most of the day is traveling.

Great time but a very long day of travel. Figure on 13 hours during which only 1 1/2 hours are in the beautiful gardens and the same amount of time in Victoria. Even at the end of October, obviously not peak season, Butchart holds its own versus other botanical gardens. Victoria was nothing special, although that may be a function of the limited time we had.

Hard to beat the Butchart experience

I was a little hesitant in booking the tour because of the time of year. I needn’t have worried. The autumn colours in the Butchart Gardens were stunning. From the pick up to the drop off at our hotel, the tour was well organised, with staff being friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide was Leslie who took excellent care of our group and made sure we knew exactly where to be when. He was a mine of information. It is a long day but well worthwhile.

Victoria and Butchart Gardens Tour from Vancouver

Wonderful trip. Butchart Gardens are a must see experience. Our driver and tour guide, Bobby was excellent, knowledgeable and entertaining!

Beautiful gardens and lovely ciry

The tour was excellent. The Butchart Gardens are beautiful, even in March. I can imagine they’re even more beautiful in April/May. Victoria is a lovely and colourful city. Dave was a great guide, very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. The bus/ferry ride are quit long, but well worth it!
